The Institute for Disease Modeling (IDM) creates free disease modeling and analysis tools for the global health community. This workshop will include a hands-on demo of how to model generalized HIV epidemics using IDM’s latest release of EMOD, an individual-based modeling framework that includes sexual, airborne, environmental/enteric, and vector-borne transmission of infectious diseases. Computers are provided, or bring your own laptop for one-on-one assistance with setting up the model. To learn more about EMOD, join the IAS Satellite Session “Computational models of HIV/AIDS: sharing new tools and ideas,” Tuesday July 21st at 7-8:30AM in West Meeting Room 109, attend the IAS session “Innovations in Methods of Implementation Science,” Tuesday July 21st at 11AM-12:30PM in Room 110, and visit www.idmod.org.
